Peru’s pineapple exports increased by 117% in value in 2021

Peruvian pineapple exports in 2021 amounted to 298,855 kilos for a FOB value of 5,533,741 dollars, according to data published by the Agrodata Peru portal.

The volume exported increased by 28.1% over the 233,220 kilos exported in 2020, while the value of shipments increased by an outstanding 117% over the 2,545,372 dollars achieved in 2020.

The United States was the main destination for the Peruvian pineapple in 2021, as exports to this destination amounted to 5.4 million dollars. The main exporting company was Greenbox SAC with sales that totaled 5.2 million dollars.
